Pregnancy Massage with Enlightened Birth
FEDANT Federation of Antenatal Educators accredited Pregnancy Massage therapist.
Throughout pregnancy your body goes through many changes which can cause a variety of problems from aches and pains, swollen hands and feet, stress and anxiety.
It is important that you are completely comfortable throughout your massage to be able to fully relax and enjoy the treatment. Your comfort is a priority, which is why the massage can be adapted to your individual needs and what you feel comfortable with. A supporting bump cushion is used and another cushion is placed between your legs to keep your pelvis straight. When sitting inclined for the face, neck and shoulders, cushions are placed under your knees and feet to provide support for your lower back.
Babies are aware of their mothers wellbeing and the environment outside the womb. Pregnancy massage can help the mother deeply relax, reducing stress and anxiety, which in turn has a positive effect for the baby. It can also help alliviate minor ailments associated with pregnancy.
Pregnancy massage is performed with the mother lying on her side and also sitting in a semi reclined position for the shoulders, arms and face, (also abdomen if requested). Toweling is used to only expose the area of the body being worked on at the time.
